![]() Welcome to Your Interactive Neighborhood Website! JUNE 2010 The Prez Says: Hello EMCA Neighbors, I hope you each have been able to continue enjoying your summer, despite our recent temperatures and humidity. .Please remember that after this issue, the newsletter will be published every other month, so don't be a;armed when you don't find a newsletter in your mailbox in August. As the EMCA newsletter goes to the new publication schedule, please pay extra attention to upcoming meeting and event dates (see calender below), so don't miss anything informative or fun, like the upcoming August neighborhodd social Pizza Party. If you would like to receive important notices and announcements from the EMCA board in betweeen newsletters, please send your name and e-mail address with a short note to info@eastmontrose.org and you will be added to the notification list. The sewer line replacement project will soon be coming to a close. It is expected that the final asphalt overlays will have taken place by the time you receive this newsletter on July 17th or 18th. The contractor will then be in the restoration phase for the next 2-3 weeks, repairing driveways, curbs, lawns, sprinkler systems meters, connections, etc. Prior to commencement of construction, the contractor took photos of all affected properties in order to restore everything to its prior condition or better. The contractor has already received a preliminary list of restorations to be made from the City of Houston Senior Inspector Mike Beezley. I will continue to be in contact with Mr. Beezley, and as the restoration phase nears an end, EMCA will be asking yopu to alert us of any unresolved concerns. As mentioned in previous newsletters, it is very important to do this in a timely manner, so that items can be addressed before the contrsactor walks off the job. Again, you can sign up for important notices by sending your name ans e-mail address to info@eastmontrose.org. If you have any questions or concerns, or have any ideas on how to make EMCA an even better place to live, please contact me at president@eastmontrose.org or (713)529-2124. As we head into the second half of the summer holidays, be safe, stay cool, and enjoy your neighborhood. Thanks to all, A great neighborhood is not an accident!
